Angelfish laying on side & not swimming , still alive!

My angelfish (coral beauty) is laying in a hiding spot, still alive and on its side. What do I do to keep her alive, and get her back to health? What is this?

Hi,

We would need more background information about your tank and the fish. Typically though, what you are describing is what is termed a "moribund fish", close to death. I've had little success bringing them back from this point. However, you will still want to look at this link below and get us more information, if nothing else, but to protect any other fish in the tank:

Alright, this is the update- made the first post in a hurry before work.

My coral beauty didn’t look this bad until I got home. White sporadic spots all over, fins looking torn, breathing fast, laying on its side. I noticed the Angel earlier this morning laying on the side but I didn’t notice any spots til I got back. I think the eyes are bulging as well.. I did a freshwater dip just now and have the Angel in a bag acclimating to a medicine tank.

I also noticed too, that there’s some sort of red spot below the angel’s fin.

What other fish are in with the angel? Its fins are pretty torn up. That is often from another fish, but sometimes can be due to flukes (but usually not that severe). If flukes, the FW dip might provide some temporary relief, but again, to be honest, I think the prognosis is very poor.....the rapid breathing indicates either flukes, or some other issue going on at the same time.
