Yes you can upgrade the compact as well. Just send them an email and they will provide the pricing. I can't remember what it was when I updated mine. I recommend updating the acrylic top to aluminum to get the full heat dissipation of the new unit and prolong life of the unit. Have fun.

Hi @Orphek - I just ordered a new Miracles custom tank 72x32x27. Would you be able to give me suggestions on how best to setup my Icons and OR3 bar to get best coverage and par.
Current setup is a
90g w/ 1 Icon Full, 1 icon compact, and a OR3 blue 48" bar on each side
40g frag - 1 Icon full and 2 36" OR3 blue
I run a pretty high par on these tanks about ~650par towards the top on full power. I am using cloud mode plus turn off the OR3 bars for 6 minutes every 30 minutes.
I am looking to use all the lights on the new build.

I appreciate any advice you may be able to provide.

Hi sorry for late reply, for your tank you need 2 atlanitk icon and 1x Atlantik compact. So you just need to add extra atlantik and use the bars you have at the side. And you will get about 200-250 par at the bottom.

Atlantik iCon coverage and PAR map results over 48 X 24 X 24inch (120 X 60 X 60 cm ) reef aquarium​

How high the Atlantik iCon should be hanged and what is the best coverage for SPS/LPS placed at the bottom of the tank?​

Tank dimensions, water level, spectrum & how the test was performed.​

• The aquarium chosen is a 120 X 60 X 60 (cm) – 48 x 24 x 24 (inches) tank.
• Water level at 55 (cm) – 21.65 (inches).
• Light was hanged at 3 different heights from the bottom of the tank – at 60cm (23.62″) / 90 (35.43″) / 120cm (47.24″).
• All measures were performed with the light at 100% in all channels. The different of color perceived in the pictures showing the PAR measurements is due to the use of Orphek Lens Kit.
• The sensor of the PAR meter was placed in various areas of the tank. (*)

PAR MAP​

Each PAR MAP comes with 3 different colors:

• Dark blue – representing measurements of the edges of the tank.
• Very light blue – representing measurements at the center of the tank.
• Medium blue – measures taken between edges and center of the tank.

(*) Each cell (square) of the PAR MAP represents a 10cm/ 3.93 unit.

we took PAR readings with the light hanged at 90cm/35.43″ with sensor placed in different areas of the tank.​

The numbers don’t lie as the results are simply amazing! Perfect coverage, evenly spread! Ideal for SPS/LPS corals.
