I am a shop foreman at an Audi dealership in Boston, but I had my Evo for 12 years before I sold it last year to buy my MK7 GTI.

I still miss it, but the GTI is a better car.

I bought it for $70,000 with only 300 hrs on a Kenmore Air overhaul (TBO is 1600 or thereabouts as I recall). I flew it about 600 hrs and sold it for $90,000. Had a lot of fun (was on a remote island in Canda on 9-11, which was not fun) and made a little profit, although airplanes are expensive to maintain. You're flying over populated areas so not maintaining them properly is not an option, IMO.

Those were real cars. I was an Oldsmobile mechanic and the 1968 442s were my favorite car.

Just reapainted my 460 Valve Covers. Air cleaner gets sand blasted/washed and primed after work.

Now that's a car. A friend of mine has 5 or 6 Model A Fords and a couple of Model Ts. I can get one for a very good price but here in NY I need a garage for it and I don't want to leave my new car out and let the Model A rust. If I could find another garage, I will get one.

I was so excited to see this Ford that I knelt down (for picture purposes) on Arizona heated asphalt! Forgetting it was 2000°, burned my knee, still took a picture!
