Looks like bacteria film or fungus, don't remember which. But it's not algae. Usually won't last long. Having enough CUC like snails?

Does it look hair like? Green? Kinda hard to tell in the video. I'm leaning toward algae. Get some emerald crabs.

Does a bacterial bloom go away on its own? Will it harm my livestock? What can i do to help it go away?

2 trochus snails, 4 hermits, and 3 nassarius snails. Will cuc help with the bacterial bloom? Should i get more?

Is this a new tank and caribsea rock? Looks like to me the little bit of fuzz (harmless) you get when starting to cycle (can last a two or three months with lower lights) a new tank.

Snails eat those pretty fast IIRC. But I could be wrong, it has been a while since I see them in my system. But I think you can use some more trochus. What's your tank size? Probably 10 more trochus/astrea to start, more if your tank is bigger.

I am going to guess this is a new biome, like <12 months.

If so, this looks like an early "uglies phase" and it will be replaced by another ugly phase, then another, then another. They all have different Greek or Latin names and none of them matter much because they are going to be replaced by the next competitor. Your last ugly will likely be good ole green hair algae which will then give way to coralline algae, which is not an ugly.

Enjoy the ride.

I started this tank at the end of September and did a fishless cycle with ammonia and bottle bacteria.

I’ve seen similar in mine years ago and left it .

what’s the reason for adding pods and phyto ?

do you have picky eaters or is it a fairly new system ?
