Poriferan sponge. Exposure to air will slow them down or stop growth
Possibly benthic foraminifera as well, which are also filter-feeders. Brief air exposure does not seem to impact these protists. These are also rock-solid, while the sponges in my systems have all been “squishy.”

dude- I am looking at the little white substance, never even saw the red on my phone and agree they are foraminifera
