Any idea what will eat this that can go in a 32g biocube?

Not entirely sure of the type of algae. I thought my Halloween urchin might but so far he votes no.

Looks like maybe gracilaria hayi or a halymenia. Check this site out for ID. Most people like it. Tangs and rabbit fish would eat it. An adult would be too big for your tank but a small one would work if you rehome it one it got larger.

Any thoughts on what might eat it?

Urchins...although they won't eliminate it because they can't reach every crevice. I have that same crap in my 25g and it's annoying stuff.

I added a tuxedo which keeps it under control. He also wears it which spreads it but it was spreading already anyways. Once he got most of it under control he now eats it faster than he spreads it.

Pincushion would probably work too.

Maybe emeralds but I don't trust crabs enough.

I have not tried a ninja star snail. I have a Halloween urchin, which should eat it, but he doesn't LOL. My emerald crab doesn't touch it either (though he was a beast on my hair algae). I actually thought I was buying a tuxedo urchin when I got my Halloween urchin, but didn't look closely enough. Oops!

Ninjas will not eat it. They are a type of astrea snail and eat mainly film and hair algae. Never saw mi e eat any macros.

A tomini tang may be small enough for your tank.

Does it break/flake easily? Looks like Dictyota sp. Hate that crap, couldn't tell you what eats it. I had to be hyper aggressive about manual removal because it would be invasive even in a tank full of other fast growing macros.

It doesn’t seem brittle. I think it’s the laciniata I mentioned above because it’s iridescent. It’s pretty but definitely spreading rapidly.

Well, my urchin seems to have decided to start eating this! And, in addition to some purple iridescence, it has some orange glow too. Interesting stuff.
