I dont have there larger systems but i do have there 20 peninsula tank ( link in build thread badge ) I think there stand up guys they always had time to answer my questions and of course the tank is very nice.

If they had a larger peninsula tank I might have gotten another.
I also was looking at the 108 & 142.

I just ordered their 81G EXT combo. It should be coming in on Tuesday. I can take pictures and let you know what I think when it comes in!

Here's what the vendor sent me when I asked about seeing the combo.

The tank itself is currently on a pallet in their warehouse, pending shipment tomorrow.

Please do. Thanks for sharing. Price is fairly good and I like the slim overflow design a lot better!

My Fiji Cube 81G EXT came in. Communication during this entire process was A+.

My overall impression of the tanks combo is overally pretty darned high quality. The display tank looks pristine, the plywood stand looks fantastic, the sump is clean and functional, and it comes with schedule 80 plumbing accessories. Even the ATO and ATO lid is made from 8mm low-iron glass! They did not cut any corners with this setup. The only downside is the kit doesn't come with pre-glued plumbing.

I am excited to see this come together. DO a build thread if you have not so we can fallow :)

I just ran across these as well so how do you like the exterior overflow (that's the EXT model you ordered right?) and sump design? Also, does the stand have feet to help level it? Thanks for info!

I've never had an ghost/ext overflow before, and really like the aesthetics of it. The sump design is awesome as well. I upgraded from the stock 20 to the 24 inch sump.

No feet to level the stand unfortunately. Fortunately, my floors were pretty level overall.

So you have room behind tank to work on external overflow if need be? I’m still weighing internal vs external and all the threads on subject are giving me a headache . Thanks again for info!

Just pulled the trigger myself. Got the 108 Ext. I was upgrading from a 3 foot 65 gallon and like what a 4 foot offers. I could get a 5 foot but I know from experience odd feet sizes are not the most bang for your buck when it comes to equipment.

I think you guys are gonna really like the tanks!

When your tanks get in, wrap some teflon plumbers tape around the internal pipes of the EXT. During my leak test, I learned that the internal pipes are slightly too small for my bulkheads and had a slow leak (see below)
78611692_578905979576580_4028146988221464576_n.jpg

I ran a simulated power outage test with the small leak and boy was it a close call. The water level in the sump got real close to the top.

After I wrapped some teflon tape around the adapter/pipes, the leak stopped completely.

Got things transfered over today as well!

I'll start a build thread after I clean the room up, lol.

Yeah pretty much always need tape of that putty (cant think of the name) with threaded fittings.

Just noticed, is your tank level? Left side waterline looks lower than the right. Could be a wave or my eyes playing tricks, but figured I'd mention before you ran into any issues.

It wasn't the threaded pipes that were leaking, sorry for the confusion. These are the pipes that I needed to stick teflon around until it created a seal.

My powerhead pushes from the back left corner and is pointed towards the front right corner. That picture must have been taken when it was pushing 4,000 GPH towards that corner.
