Anybody have any suggestions about fish tank lights for softies

I know someone who is using the aqua knights and considers them a waste of money on anything over about 10 inches tall.

I have no experience with the loop, but, the size of the leds they use can't have very good penetration so I would skip them on anything over a foot deep and all softies.
