I could be wrong. I thought that T-slots are aluminum and powder coating aluminum weakens the metal and makes it more brittle.

My thoughts are similar to @vanpire , by the way. I think people ‘skin’ those stands (via magnets) if they like the look, and call it a day. Maybe call the manufacturer. Best wishes!

More for aesthetics. I have heard the same about aluminum and heat but also that it depends on what the temp gets up to.

Aluminum car wheels get powder coated all the time, and that's on a vehicle were the force on the aluminum is constantly changing with road conditions and vehicle weight. I was think since the tank is stationary and its weight would never shift or change once its up.

Thought I would put some feelers out on R2R to see if anybody had done their stands.

Powder coating won't hurt aluminum, but anodizing is the preferred option for coloring aluminum.

Powder coating heats up to 400 degrees for about 20 minutes so it shouldn’t be a problem. Also most motorcycle parts are powder coated and they’re mostly aluminum including the frames.
