I miss going and browsing looking at the fish and corals.

Are any of the LFS open? Has anyone been and can they update?

There had been series of closures and places struggling before covid came around. I'm getting worried that my options may be narrowing.

Ca. reef company closed down. Rumor is, they are looking for a new location to reopen. Aquatic collections is still surviving.

In addition to the ones listed above, Violet Sea is open. I have also now made two trips to 360 Coralz, and although he has yet to completely finish renovating and setting up, I think he may very well give some of these other guys a run for their money. He had some AMAZING sps colonies.

Been going to Aquatic Collection weekly they get good selections of fish weekly.

They actually have quite a few yasha gobies available for sale too.

Violet Sea just openingnew storein santa clara still getting built out but had some nice selections.

Neptune has decent coral but fish selection really lacking.

360 coralz starting to get there have some nice coral pieces available. They were suppose to get big shipment of livestck and corals.

I don’t want to call out names but in some stores I see aptasia in half the tanks. I understand it’s impossible to not have any in retail, but certain place just allow aptasia to take over . Pay attention when you pick up any frags.

Fortunately we still have quite a few good stores around. I’m in South Bay and have yet to venture out to Fremont/Newark yet .

I know Petco get a lot of bashing and in most cases they deserve it. But check out the one in Blossom Hills. It’s one of their main store and selection and price is pretty good for fish. They sometimes have purple, yellow , kole tang, flame angle, coral beauty etc.
