Lol what pool chemicals do you use in swimming pools that would cross over into reef tanks? I'm actually sort of curious.

I had a 20X40 inground at my old home I sold in 96. I used Algaecide, Bromine sanitizing tablets instead of Chlorine Tablets, pH increaser, pH decreaser, Pool Clarifiers, and sometimes Baking soda and Clorox but never in the home aquarium. Would not have been a good outcome. ugh

Would have been funny to use the Polaris Pool Cleaner though. lol

What were you considering using?

Some people use lanthanum chloride to remove phosphate from their aquariums.

Calcium chloride is used to raise hardness in Pools as well as sodium bicarbonate for alkalinity. The bicarb is arm and hammer food grade baking soda. Not sure about the purity of calcium

Just curious btw. Would never do it if it wasn’t safe. But I was reading about dosing and a lot of it seemed to be the same stuff. Maybe not as clean though
