I lost my anemone a few moths ago as my clown fish was to big and rough for it but seen this thing hiding in the sand this afternoon cleaning the tank, no idea what it is but my clown was very curious to it also tanks a bit neglected as currently renovating a house so not much time for husbandry any help would be greatly appreciated

Could be a nem, especially if it moved, but those white strings are likely its guts, so it's got some recovering to do before a good ID is going to be easy.

Not impossible for it to do, but it is currently in rough shape.

Looks like an anemone. Not sure which kind, though. Could be majano, BTA, RFA, or aiptasia. It'd need to open up for me to be certain, but probably a BTA. Whichever it is, it looks like it's on death's door. It can probably recover, but it'll need TLC.

Thanks guys, I'll give it some time and see if I'm able to take a better pic, iv noticed though that some of my zoas have disappeared the past few days, is there any chance this unknown nem could be the culprit?

While they can bother each other, they can't really eat each other. They can only pull as hard as they can contract their bodies, so nems can't really eat anything that's actually stuck down.

It seems to have settled where I put it after finding it, looks like it's extended a bit and has latched onto the rock but I have no idea what it is

It's definitely a nem, but I agree with some others that it's likely not a BTA. Give it a little time, let it open even more, but don't lose track of it in case it turns out to be a pest.
