Hello all, first time poster and new to saltwater aquariums. Been in the freshwater side for many many years and have quickly fallen in love with this new world. Starting slowly on my cycled tank, I picked up some live rock from a local shop and noticed this guy showed up today. Anyone happen to know what it is? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the quick replies and warm welcome!

Euphyllia polyp was what I was thinking based on the power of google and searching, but I’m so new to this world and with so many varieties of everything out there, it’s hard for me to tell. My biggest concern is if this is something that will turn into a problem rather than a blessing in disguise.

Welcome to R2R Dude, yes, the coral look better. I guess from the 1st photo it's kind of macro bubbling algae, but like the other say it's Euphyllia SP, most if no all, are stunning hammer corals xD and your one it's looking great ;)
