Hey guys, does anyone have any idea what this white growth on my live rock is? Seems like Corraline algae but I've never seen it white before. Below are some pictures- take a look

Chrysophytes sponge.
I'm not sure if its sponge because it looks more like film. Furthermore, that piece of rock has been dead for a couple of months now as I had it in storage. If its sponge, I have no idea how it got there lol. Can it be bacterial growth instead?

Oh I see, gotcha. Any idea where it might have come from? Never had this before lol
Also should I keep it or get rid of it?
It is bacterial and can generate from lack of water flow, uneaten food or even pre-existing and had enough nutrients to thrive. Dr. tims refresh & waste-away should eliminate it. Possibly Hydrogen Peroxide also.

I put some chemiclean to address the red cyano slime in my tank. Can that remove it?

Why not pull the rock out since it was in storage, scrub it off deeply put in bucket with chemiclean a couple days rinse off well and put it back in. IMO is what I would have done. Good luck.

Ahaha funny enough, what I did just back then was take it out, scrubbed it with a toothbrush in tap water and then rinse the whole rock with really hot water
