Hey, I am trying to figure out if it is possible to mount a radion onto a Red Sea max nano. I want to try to accomplish this without hanging the light. I’ve thought about removing the control box and adding that 3D printed mod but I can’t move the tank now to get back there. Anyone else attempt this?

I mounted mine on the side and didn’t bother moving the control box. It does not look as sleek, but doesn’t bother me.

You can with a bit of modifications. Protein skimmer in the way. So what I did is went to Lowes got a 2by2 and mounted it to the back of the stand so that the lighting bracket mounts on it .

I’ve tried and tried to come up with a solution and never could. I ended up hanging a xr15 g5 above mine

I took the control off and just left it hanging had to cut the 2by2 blocks to bring it out from the back side of the tank and then one long piece extending up to tank. It really works good. And you really don’t even notice it that much i painted the wood white to match the stand. Last week I came up with the ideal of mounting the control on the back side of the wood . Just if I won’t to turn the skimmer off.!
