Looking to see if anyone has a par map for a 48” tank running 3x XR15 G5 (preferably) blues? Debating adding another XR15 and a par map would be very nice in making that decision.

Have you seen the BRS videos? I think they have some info that you might find helpful.

Hey I have a 48w x 27d x 21h tank with 3 x G5 XR15 Pros running for about a month now. Tank is 9 months old with mostly SPS frags and some LPS. They replaced 4 x Hydra26 HDs. I borrowed a meter from a friend and the PAR numbers at 50% intensity were pretty much in the sweet spots required to keep SPS. I also have 4 x 54w T5s (2 x Actinic, 1 x Purple Plus, 1 x Blue Plus) but only have them on for 3 hours per day as I prefer now the G5s on their own. Overall the Mobius App for me has been faultless and I love the moonlight period. ATB

Did you run it at 50 and 100% and measure par? Also, what spacing are you running?

No I don't get too hung up on numbers with this hobby I just saw that some areas of the tank were hitting the PAR numbers for SPS at about 6-8 inches down @ 50%. Colour and spread are the most important element for me and of course local dealer support.
I spread them evenly across the tank (12,12,12) as I saw no reason to do any different. They are kind of hidden in the Giessmann Canopy.

Just add t5s instead. It’ll be more expensive but u won’t regret the look and spread

I’ve got 3 XR15 Blues that I’ll be installing into a 48” AL T5 fixture that going in my 60” 150 that I am currently building. Not sure what bulbs I’ll go with yet. It’ll probably be a couple months before it’s setup and I can PAR map it.
