I use silicone tubing I found on Amazon, it’s a lot cheaper. Just make sure to go by the Inner diameter and pay attention to the wall thickness. I love it.

Silicone tubing from BRS still holding up well? I'm looking at about 2 ft length off a Vectra S2 and the same review has given me pause.
I've been using it for years and it hasn't degraded at all as far as I can tell. Only downside is its a bit translucent so algae will grow inside. Once a year I removed it and clean it and it's good as new.

I have a long tubing brush that I shove through it every couple of months when I clean the pumps.

Hey,

I know its been a while and therefore i wanted to ask if the silicone tubing still holding up alright?
About to use a a feet or so connecting varios6 to xxl750 reefer tank tubing.

Also on a side note cant we wrap it with some black electrician tape to avoid algae growth and color?

Thanks

I didn't realize it's already been 2 years!! Yes, the tubing is working great.

I also used lengths of the smaller stuff to isolate vibrations.

I don't have any lights in my sump (other than a service led) so I don't have any algae growth.
