Little 24 gal AIO that am calling The "SHU".....I am taking a Maroon clown from a friend to get it out of his sump. So I had a 24 gal system that I setup on my desk. Already had the sand just got cleaned up positioned and were off.

I had a small 120 gph pump for the return in back, very tight about 2.75 in to work with in width. Added a 50 watt heater, and a skimmer HOB nano type ( Bubble Magus Nano QQ1) Nice compact works for the space pickup sits in a 1-1/2" space over all 4.5 wide and 8" tall with adjustable collection cup.

Picked up 30# live rock from Dan over at Shipwreck Cove and 25 gals of his water. Got everything back to house set it up and added water. Fired everything up and were off, I also had a Current 18" Orbit Marine lite with remote I threw on there as well. Oh yea added a Hydro Koralia wave pump just a small one 240 gph just about right with return and this for flow and current.

So now we wait and see what and when it will cycle......... Dan said he found with his live rock and his imported water from Catalina he has been able to add frags and light stock, with very little or no spike. Well that sounds good BUT it always has been min 21 or more days to go through the gauntlet.

Ok well 22 days later........ added water, rock on Oct 2nd. Week or so later added a BTA and introduced a 2-1/2" Maroon clown all still going strong. Still waiting for a spike, cycle or something saying am done.....nothing to date. Just a reading of 5pp nitrate which is good it is showing but expected a little more action on the front side then this. But it maybe acting and reacting as a tank transfer.
