Don't have a refugiumVac your sand, stop using Vibrant, get a better/more powerful Refugium. Feed more after that.
about 4 months oldMaybe buy 2-3 more snails, how old is the aquarium?
25 gal AIO I have a skimmer but the pump is already fried on it and IM will send another one in june.....How big is the tank? I would look into a refugium personally.
I had a skimmer running even before this GHA showed upIt's a really good nutrient export, look into getting one.
If you use vibrant, you have to use it as directed. I think it’s once a week (?). But it takes several weeks to see results. No fast fix for algae unfortunately.I’ve had this GHA for about a month and have dosed vibrant about twice, is there anything else I can do to get rid of it?
I've used vibrant once to get rid of GHA- I used it twice a week and it took about 2-3 months to disappear , but it did and after that I got cyano which apparently is common after using vibrant. If you use vibrant, you have to use it as directed. agreeIt’s actually not that bad. At 4 months old it’s a normal part of new tank syndrome. Just keep up the usual strategies of water changes, feeding less, toothbrushing the rocks, and you will get past it.
Yeah I'm gonna have to pass on the urchin those things creep me outPincushion Urchin.
But whatever is no glued down,it will pick up and move.
Yeah I've been dosing about once every 2 weeks and I thought this was new tank syndrome but it looks terrible and I wonder if its something else that is causing itI've used vibrant once to get rid of GHA- I used it twice a week and it took about 2-3 months to disappear , but it did and after that I got cyano which apparently is common after using vibrant.
