Hi everyone! I'm setting up my first reef, a 20 gallon long AIO! Just set up my Apex, now working on setting up the Apex ATK. Any tips on mounting the sensors inside of the tank?

Because of the tank's trim I can't get the sensors placed high enough. The lower sensor is about an inch below the surface.

Also, if I kept the water level at the height of the lower sensor it would be barely above the intake for my AIO box, so I'd rather not just lower the water level.

Any suggestions?

Thanks! :)

I would personally mount the sensors somewhere else. Remove the sensors and use some magnets of suction cups to mount them separately. Either that, or just let my waterline be a bit lower and add black tape around the rim to make it look good.

Aside from cutting the trim/rim to allow the sensor to sit higher, you may need to somehow make a bracket that will allow the sensor to be out enough to clear the rim.

Might be time to diy something.

Oh! I didn't realize you could remove the sensors from the holder. I had a few extra suction cups, and I was able to get them on the sensors!

Do I need to move the sensors farther apart, or is this fine?

Hopefully they stay put. If not, my roommate has a 3D printer and could help me make a mounting bracket.
