To start off with I would like to thank everyone on here because I have been reading posts that pop up and have used some of the info.
Now I have some issues of my own.
I have an apex that is connecting 2 tanks.
For some reason it keeps having no comm with fusion and I have to reset the apex every few days to a week or so.
Is this normal?

I also am having trouble with the EB8s
I can't seem to figure out what eb8 is on what tank. I thought you could turn on and off all of the outlets on the EB8.
I plugged in my skimmer and turned everything off and it kept running.
Am I wrong?

I used to have the same issue. Each EB8 will be numbered with a device name...below it's 15_1. This one is for my 2nd tank. Now I only use an EB8 per tank...I don't mix the tanks on the same one. I have tank 1outlets all in the first column and tank 2 outlets in the second column. Helps me avoid getting everything confused. How are you connecting fusion to your router?

Yes you can turn them all off.

Pick something in a tank and try turning off the outlet in fusion to see if it goes off. Click the settings gear to open the outlet and see what number is assigned to it.

If it's wired direct to the router then I'm not sure why it wouldn't connect to fusion.

I have done that and it won't turn off the outlets. That's what's got me all messed up.

Can you post a screen shot of Fusion?

Have you looked at the modules tab to see if anything needs a firmware update?
I just had to update the AOS and the firmware on both of my EB832 powerbars yesterday.

That makes since because it won't even let me configure new stuff for the outlets.

How do you look at the mod tab and update the EB8?

In Fusion at the top left of the screen you should have a "house" icon, then the name of your Apex followed by a pull down arrow.
Click on the arrow to expose the drop down list.
Select Modules.
On the modules page, click on any module that has a SWRev(old) status.
That will take you to that modules configuration page.
Click on the Action bar and change it to "update firmware".
Then click on the orange cloud icon in the upper right hand corner to complete the firmware update.

I do not see a tab for mods.
The pic is all I have. Wouldn't be called something else?

Assuming you have an aquabus cable connected from the base module to each powerbar, is there a green status light lit on each of the powerbars?

At the top of the Fusion screen there is a row of icons. The far right icon will expand to reveal more icons - click it and expand them.
That should reveal an icon labeled "modules".
You can also click on the "network" icon to see if the AOS needs updating.

Yes aqua bus cable to both and green status lights on them and all the mods.

On the bar you are talking about
It says
Apex list
Alarm log
Input log
Output log
Calendar
Measurements log
Notes
Tasks
Expand
When I click expand
Outputs
Profiles
Authorization

And on the far right it has tiles and help.

I do need to update the firmware I guess they just did a new one here recently in the past few days but I want to get this stuff figured out asap.

After authorization you should have
Modules
Inputs
Clock
Misc
Network

I'd bet you need an update for the AOS, before the powerbar firmware.

Sorry I'm new to the whole apex controller so I'm sorry if I'm kinda being stupid.
I guess I'll update that and try again.
Do I need to have my laptop hardwired into the router to do That?

And I really appreciate all the time you have taken to help me out.
