Interesting! I was reading the cycles helped a lot with reproduction. The recommendation was that at max cycle it should still be too dark to read. I guess it would depend on the type of coral for how dark it got in the depthI was running moonlights for years and years with the LSM and the LED strips that attach to them. I recently added G6 pro's on this build and was researching the same thing. I came across a few posts about lunar lights in our systems that I found very interesting. A few people who have actually dived the reefs even on full moons stated the reef itself is still pretty much pitch black and they had to bring their own lighting. I also found on a couple of occasions while viewing my tank with moonlights on that the fish were still active on brighter moonlight days in the middle of the night. I have since removed the nightlights as I feel I was trying to create a more natural environment but it actually had the opposite effect.
