Welcome to the Reef2Reef POTM Contest - Photo of the Month

Sponsored by Avast Marine!

This month's subject - Mushroom

Deadline to Enter: 30th Apr, 2021 at 11:59 pm (EST)

Looking forward to great shots of your colorful Mushrooms! Remember, the photo has to have been taken by you, and the subject has to be in your aquarium.
No watermarks or captions are allowed in the pictures and pictures with watermarks will be disqualified.
A bit of info around your Mushrooms, types you keep, Feeding, lighting and any special dosing additions specifically for mushrooms you feel makes yuor mushrooms look better or grow faster....
Mushrooms, ricordeas, bounce mushrooms will be allowed.

This is a photo contest after all and we're looking for the best photograph. Yes, you can use a post-editing product to better your pictures. In fact, we encourage it.
Few tips:
-chose carefully between a full mushroom shot, a Macro shot or maybe colorful mushroom gardens.
-chose your camera shot paramters to match yuor composition for example: more FOF shots for gardens, less DOF shots for macros or more creative compositions.
-chose the timing of your shot to have the best lighting time for your mushroom or change lights before you shoot to have a bit more or less blue in the picture maybe

As always refer to the multiple photography articles or post any questions you might have on the photography forum for better support. Maybe also post a few pictures for suggestions and critique to improve your shots wile preparing for this months contest as well.

Wish I could find some pictures but used to have an old jbj nano full of discos that reminded me of this. Ran it same way but had a 150mh over it. Loved those old purple tonga shrooms:)
