This Aquamaxx FC-120 Protein Skimmer works great. It uses a very reliable Sicce Syncra 2.0 pump. $120 shipped.

Any issues with this skimmer? What water height did you find this worked best in?

I've never had any issues with this skimmer. I thought it worked best in shallower than recommended depth, about 7-7.5 inches.
