Hello everyone,

Recently got an aquamaxx 1.5 and attached it to my sump. I primed it, and got the intake working today as well as a good skimmate building. But now 4 to 5 hours later the skim has reduced significantly and is not producing enough foam to go anywhere /build surface tension to climb up the middle skimming tube. Is this normal? Does it just mean I need more things to skim?

All the tubes are attached correctly/tightly and no kinks In them. Since I literally just set this up today I don't expect build up in the yellow line or silencer to be an issue. Here's a picture of just how thin the skim is even though it's producing plenty of bubbles

It takes days if not weeks for skimmers to break in. I’d leave it and not adjust at all unless you are at risk of overflowing.

also, feeding certain foods, putting your hands in the tank, dosing certain things, all of them effect skimmer efficiency.
