I'm pretty sure you can tighten that ring where the drip is.

Yea teflon tape should work as well, i just prefer sealant.

Fuds, tank is doing ok. We recently moved (january) so there was a bit of a reset on the tank but its coming along nicely. I just need to get rid of some green hair algae since we added a lot of new rock and its going through a mini-cycle. fun stuff lol. Hows yours doing?

Had a major crack in cross member, had to empty. Everyone is in 40b right now till I get new 90 set up. Gotta drill it for overflow and then plumb it to basement.

Ooof that sucks. When i moved the sump moved into the basement as well. Definitely awesome having it there.
Be sure your pump is pressure rated and can handle the head loss. I had to swap out my new vertex L1 for an external pump.

Hopefully. I definitely recommend running the calcs though. Figure out how may bend you are using and the height etc.

That should be good. Theoretically it will do 950 gph at that pressure so even if its less then that there shouldnt be any issues. Make sure to keep a spare on hand lol

Well at $103 I should be good to do just that. I was looking at the new Current but would need the top one and its $250

I looked at that but the pump prices for the head I need put them well over even that. I also looked at the Deepwater Aquatics BLDC5 which should give me even more flow and is around $210

You'd probably have to go up to the 7 for that. Be sure to check out iwaki pumps, supposedly they last forever and are pressure rated.
Reeflo's are good too. I'm using dolphin master now and really like it. These are all AC pumps so to dial them back, valves are needed

I'm pretty sure you can tighten that ring where the drip is.

Took it apart and it's just a slip fitting there. The ring only locks it in place; doesn't screw on any tighter like the top fittings do. It appears that it relies on the o ring fitting tight enough to keep it from leaking. Needless to say there's no way teflon tape will work there; no threads to wrap it around.

Anybody have any ideas how to stop the leak ?

Thanks

Allen

You could try petroleum jelly on the o ring. Other than that,I would contact Aquamaxx and ask them

I think i greased my ring with silicon grease / lubricant. Technically you should use a reef safe brand, i use Magic Lube.
