If you do go with an 8' tank, and you want curbside delivery, check to make sure a truck with a gate-lift an handle the total size (including the crate).

I've been very happy with my Glasscages tanks. I had them build me a custom 120 about 18 months ago and absolutely love it. I bought a used one of their tanks about a year ago for a frag system, and just received my quote yesterday for my 3rd tank from them that I'll be purchasing as soon as Christmas shopping is done.

So my biggest decision i have to make is tank length. Other than keeping a larger Naso Tang, how do I decide on going for a 6,7 or the 8 footer. What are the advantages and challenges for going to the 6 footer vs the 8 footer?

I would take into account what you want the tank to be. SPS reef, mixed reef, softy, or fowler.

Lighting and flow will become a challenge on an 8ft tank and costs add up quick. Going from 6 to 8ft will add 25% to lighting at a minimum, and probably 50% to cost of powerheads.

Good point. My delivery driver pallet jack couldnt support the tank and it even broke section of pallet and slid some (see last pic). I honestly felt I was going to get crushed alive! Anyways, I avoided lift gate fee since $100 always get the driver to help me bring in to the garage but its not worth the risk. Get extra help and equipment as its not worth the risk
