Looks at the BRS videos..the tidal garden video. My first aquascape was all it took. If you crush rock (powderish) or use an oolite type of fine sand one the joints it's fine. We're talking close to mortar and pestle fine. Throw it in the joints...use the glue masters thin. Hold it for 10 seconds and you're good. Remember to flip it over and make sure your bottom joints are good...requires two people.

Sorry..posted accidently..got back with thicker glue to solidify the joints even further. Let it set overnight. The best way is to go EVEN further with Marco..but I just did glue. It requires you to make a base you can handle it by to support the weight..anything I broke was from a 40# sand bucket falling on it..or me weighing it and running into a door frame on the way out of the bathroom. Cement is fine...but it only broke rock..bever joints.

The sides are good..the top/down has different layers/heights. Places for all different kinds of corals

I did a similar project, only using baking soda for the initial bond. I found it worked faster and stronger than the rock dust. Finished the joint with some rock dust for a more natural look.

Looks great! The only issue I have with it is something I made the same mistake with. The top part of that Aquascape isn’t going to be able to have coral on it. Not much room to grow before it grows out of the water plus those spots are going to be very HOT spots for par. Unless this is a FOWLR tank?

How large is the tank and how big is the scape? My first piece is fairly small. I intend 2 larger pieces for the back corners of my tank. Real world experience with this method will help guide me for my next build.

Thanks in advance,
Steve

It's a 125. The higher parts will have less intense lighting over it via primes.
