Sorry if this doesn’t really belong here, I’m new to the hobby and to R2R.

I want to get some feedback on my aquascape before I seal it all together. I have a lot of different things that I have tried, but the rock I got was HUMONGOUS and I had to break it into smaller pieces. The tank is a 29 gallon, but there’s almost 40lbs of rock and I can’t bust that big one up anymore without going to buy tools haha.

I like what I have here and will post pictures to see what you guys think.

Thank you! I was worried about that large base rock on the left. I thought it was going to be too big.

Pick up large rock, smash on concrete. No tools necessary. Scape looks good.

I like it! It all depends on your personal vision and what you want out of the scape. If you want somewhere to put new frags, you could also make some platforms. Try to imagine your ‘completed’ reef tank (if anyone’s ever come to that point of being completely satisfied with how their tank looks! lol)
Welcome to the hobby! It’s a great one.

That’s what I was going for... now I need to find something good enough to use to hold it together. I don’t have the option for the acrylic rods or whatever so it’s either going to be glue or putty.

#2 attempt is great. Lots of open spaces for a good flow and the fish to swim through.
Maybe not everybody will agree but I had great success with the Tunze Coral gum. So much better as other putty I have used. Little expensive but my rock work is totally stable using it. Cures very quick so you have to do little by little

Why wouldn’t people agree? Haha I find that if there’s a percentage of people that a product just doesn’t seem to work for, I am in that percentage usually!
