Hello all,

Need to figure out what to do! My aquastation DC-3000 Silent Swirl Controllable DC Aquarium Pump 25W 792GPH-marine return pump will randomly turn off, then maybe restart about 30 min later. I have taken it apart, cleaned it (wasnt dirty at all), and then ran vinegar through it for about 30 min. Put back in, still is turning off randomly.

The controller is flashing "Err" at times but other times it looks normal but the pump is not working.

Should I quick order a new one? Should I just order a new controller? The LFS here will let me borrow a pump.

Tank is 65 Gallon Reef/Fish
Only 8 mo old

Thank you,
Brian

I would get a new pump. Once these things start to fail they’re not really easy to repair.

Try a jebao instead, while not bulletproof I’ve had several running for years without issues and the cost is comparable/lower.
