So purchased from BRS the Aquatic Life's Universal & Hybrid Light Hanging System and got an issue I cannot figure out. Its mounted to the stand but but the top mounting plate has a plastic thumb screw that will tighten against the square riser arm. Because of this it will will move back and forth.. There at least a quarter inch all the way around the bracket so it will not tighten

I am not talking about the round rod that lets you move the lights up and down over the tank.

Hope that makes since

Good morning, I have had this happen to me once. If you remove the thumb screw and bend the threaded metal toward the square stock this will allow you to start the screw closer and tighten the support more.

Please let me know the results.

Let me know. The metal band is flexible that the screw threads through.

There is play in the bracket and as the bar stock leans forward it presses against the metal and the screw to keep away from the tank.
