I know they are called "dryside" mounts but can they be submersed?
They (magnets) look completely encapsulated so I would assume it's possible.
I have an IM150INT and I would like to place two on either side of the 45% rear over-flow wall.

Fascinating.
Do you know of any documentation that clearly states that by Neptune?
I have attached 2 links:
1) Previous post of a fellow reefer in this group.
2) Quick Start Guide for mp40 QD where they clearly mentioned not to submerge it. (attached a Screenshot with that point highlighted)

Correct the WAV not the vortech
Oops!! I thought it was Vortech - my bad!!!

Well I know people have issues of the magnet getting corroded, I had that issue with my ATO. So that is something you have to keep an eye on and that goes for any magnetic product..

I wouldn’t have posted the question if I didn’t understand and know that magnets corrode in salt water environments.
The key thing to remember is to avoid vinegar when cleaning anything with embedded magnets because vinegar can permeate certain plastics and cause the magnets to corrode. Use citric acid instead.

See this article for details:

Thx!

I know and have met Paul, been in the hobby for a while, and have read many of his posts.
I have also witnessed the effects of vinegar first had before he created the article.

I had my WAV pumps attached to my overflow for a couple of years. Magnets just fine.

Ooh. Thank you for the answer! I also just got a couple and have a 150INT and was wondering the same.

Called BRS and they said they’re not btw, couldn’t get through to Neptune and then remembered that google is a friend.
