I have an Innovative Marine 100 INT NUVO tank and thinking about putting two Reef Octopus Octo Pulse 4 powerheads on the back of the tank on my overflow, but that would require the normal dry side magnets to be submerged in my overflow. Has anyone done this with their Octo Pulse? Are they waterproof?

Thanks!

I looked for an answer to the exact same question for the exact same reason a few weeks ago. I found a forum post on CoralVue's site that said they were, but I also logged a ticket with their support and they said they were not.

FYI - I wrote BRS about it and they said the dry side magnets are sealed and can be used underwater, but you should still do some routine inspections on them to ensure they keep their integrity.
