Are there any roller mat filters that fit in the stock Red Sea Max S 500 Sump?

I'm willing to modify the plumbing on the overflow and take out the filter sock plate if necessary, but I was wondering if anyone had successfully installed any of the automatic roller mat filters into the sump that comes with the tank.

Well I’ve looked at a few including the new X filter, but most seem to need water feeding to them rather than just dropping in the sump.

This is of course easily achievable, but I’ve sort of decided to just continue using the built in filter socks, but I also use filter floss in different locations within my sump, which is also very effective, cheap and easy to change and throw away.

I’ll be interested to see if anyone has installed one yet

Also interested in converting. Is Red Sea going to come up with custom conversion solution option for us?

I am running Clarisea 5000 in my RSM-650. I put it into middle chamber. I believe the sump is the same, but I could be wrong. Love it and my wife as well.
