Are there any signs that Berghia Nudibranch are alive without directly seeing them?

Title.

I added 6 very small Nudi's to my tank, which is completely overrun with Aptasia, about 5 weeks ago.

I have not seen them since. I am trying not to assume the worst and I was aware they would need to grow and multiply but the aptasia is completely out of control, its covering almost every surface. I'm almost in panic mode as corals are getting crowded out. All rock is glued together so removing it is not an option.

Are there other signs they leave behind? Are there certain types of spots I can check to find them? Every night I'm down there with a flashlight looking and cant see anything

thx

They usually hunt in packs, once you find one you should see the others, they spend most of their time under ledges, even at night, only once food runs out there you may be able to see them.

^ This, I’ve only seen mine when the food is gone and they are searching even with the lights on. I did the flashlight thing, like you, and never found any. The only clue I had was the diminishing number of aptasia.

thx for teh feedback. I have not noticed any reduction in atpasia population. I'll continue to hope they are still alive in there.

Do you have anything else in there that eats aptasia, tile fish or peppermint shrimp? Anything that eats aptasia eats Berghia nudibranchs.
