I picked up some live mussels at a fish market. Now I’ve heard to never eat mussels that have died (they don’t close when tapped). Some seem to have died. Would this matter for fish? I was planning on freezing them.

Depending on the area the mussels are collected. I have had infection in the past feeding shell fish, now I freeze them for at least a week before putting them in the tank. Also I brush the shells really well. There is som dirty stuff if you don’t clean them.
