I posted this in the hitchhiker and critter I.d. forum but thought id ask my local ppl too. I took apart my gyre pumps for cleaning this morning and found these in one of the end caps of one of the pumps. I have no idea what they are and want to make sure I'm not about to kill something good. Any ideas?

They are pliable. When I was dislodging them it felt like I could easily puncture the sack if I wasn't careful.

That for the input! I'm starting to think the same thing myself.
