Got this gsp frag from a friend, whatever this is, it survived the dip...? Appears to be growing right from the side of the polyp. Is this part of the polyp or a hitchhiker???

Hydroid, is that a good thing or a bad thing..? They're isolated on a rock island so no contact with other corals at least.

If they are hydroids, they can kind of agitate some corals if they in contact. However, if they are on a separate rock it isn't much to worry about.

Welp, they're very very dead hydroids now.... Dipped again and tweezered them off. Hopefully no more appear.
