Out of curiosity, can clownfish eat tropical bettas food on occasion? I’m not out of food for him but wondered since I have a lot left over from when I had bettas if I could feed a little to them or not? I just didn’t want it to waste in my closet and didn’t know if it was safe for them on occasion?

Yeah they have different nutritional requirements.....I wouldn't risk it long term. That being said, betta food is better than normal tropical food because betta food does not contain fillers which messes up the digestive systems of bettas.
