My husband and I have a 75 gallon in wall tank. We just set the tank back up about 2 months ago. While my husband has experience with saltwater this is the first time we have ran salt in this tank since we have been together. We have had the tank set up for freshwater about a dozen times however we are just never quite happy with it. I think we were secretly in need of a reef. We are very happy with the tank now and look forward to meeting all of you guys.
Great to have you in the hobby, If you have some patience you will love it!! Keep an eye on the forrums for meetings we would love to have you! We have our BIG Frag swap coming up in a few weeks. August 15th.

Hello all. Long post coming.
Figured I'd say a little about myself since I'm browsing your forum. Still checking you guys out, but I don't see any reason I won't join come next meeting. Hope I'm not supposed to post some of this stuff elsewhere. I haven't turned over every stone on this web site yet.
I've been into SW tanks for about 3 months now. I got into it because of my daughter. We were at the local store, and she (2 yo) was fascinated by the fish on display. So I bought her a 10 gallon tank, 10 fish, and all the other stuff on the list and went home. We set up the tank, acclimated the fish, and then went to bed. Next day 6/10 were dead. Woops! So I started doing research on it, came across the subject of a reef aquarium, and got hooked.
I'm now in the process of building an aquarium. So far, I've got a 75g tank w/29g sump. Mag 9.5 return pump, overflow box. Seaclone 150 (it was free, I know reviews aren't so great on that one). In the tank, I have 2 Koralie 3's, 80 lbs argonite + 20 live sand in sump, 130lbs live rock, and a bunch of yellow water, lol (still cycling).
I haven't decided my exact livestock yet, but know I intend on doing a Coral tank w/fish. Plus the rock I got was uncured, so it'll be after the cycle, clean up crew, and time have been added to the tank before I intend to worry about it.
Here's some pictures of what I got so far. I've built everything myself, except the glass tanks , haven't added on the doors to the stand, or finished the canopy yet.
Thanks Silver, I'll have plenty of questions later, I'm sure. Right now in the waiting phase, so not much to do but check water parameters occasionally.
Thanks Ironman, I'm all over it. I have every intention of exhausting everyone's knowledge, and who knows, might even be able to give advise back (doubt it, though). I'm fairly active with forums, so you guys should be sick of me by the time you meet me in person .
