ATI - can I participate ? 8 months into ATI much before ATI USA started Essentials in USA. Got my batch from Germany .
Tank is around 11-12 months old . Crappy video but no water change from May .

I run a little whiter tank with Geissmann 17.5K 250 watt halides and no supplements . So might appear too white for people.

Honestly, very very satisfied with ATI essentials. I want to go atleast 2 years without a water change and finally convince my verdict !

    Regards,
    Abhishek

So with the no water changes that this system promotes is it true that salinity will increase over time and if so how is everyone combatting this issue. I have a 220 gallon system and am going to start using ati essentials once I run out if my current dosing regime.

Would you mind telling us what the parameters of this tank are?

Well, I'm not sure what to do. My alk has gone from 7.9 to 7.4 in about 1.5 weeks. However, my calcium has not dropped at all. I am nervous to increase the dosing like the instructions say.

If it stays around 7.4 that's fine mine is usually around 7.3 to 7.5 just don't want it to go below 7. You don't have to dose equal parts I think they can be within 25% of each other

Ah really? I thought it wasn't recommended to dose different amounts. I'll continue monitoring, hopefully it just stays at 7.4 Thanks.

My Aquarium will be one year old next week... I am in the process of taking photos for the anniversary ;) This weekend I transitioned to ATI essentials. I will take photos after a few months to show what I have experienced.

Sure, what information are you looking for?
Its a 48x29x29 glass cube tank with an 8 bulb WiFi LED Powermodule on it. It has 3x MP40 for flow and a remote sump/fuge in the garage. The Fuge however does not have anything in it, nutrients are too low to grow cheato due to a massive biopellet reactor. There is a Reeflo super Dart driving the return pump. Simplicity 800DC skimmer. It has been running ATI Essentials on a Dp6 for about 4 months.
Anything else you are looking for?

Looks great! Do you have a photo or video of what it looked like months ago?

This is true however your skimmer removes a lot of salt so depending on how much skimmer production you are getting you may or may not need to address it. As stated its not a big deal to remove some water as needed and let your ATO fill it up with RODI.

Thanks for the reply. I was looking for Ph, Ca, ALK, Mg. You stated that the nutrients are already low so NO3 and PO4 aren't necessary.

I'll test it and get back to you. I rarely test anything besides alk since that is how Essentials is designed. I'll run those other numbers and get back to you.

Sorry folks I discovered my calcium is expired. The alk is currently a little high at 8.5.
I'll get some test kits on the way.

@Brett.Al , thanks for chiming in!

Thanks. There's no huge rush. What do you normally keep your ALK at?

Upper 7's. It varies .1 or so depending on the time of day I test and day by day. Since using ATI Essentials I discovered the alk consumption varies day to day. I would be chasing .1 dKH variances trying to adjust my dosing amount. I realized this finally and started testing every 3-4 days instead and found it to remain steady.

Just ordered my essentials kit from Marine Depot. Super excited to give this a try! Very intrigued to see the results once everything stabilizes. It’s going on my 6 month old 75G aquarium with a 35G sump and a Seperate 30G frag tank that’s plumbed into the main sump! Should be tons of fun! The sump contains a Skimmer, biopellet reactor, algae scrubber, and a fuge full of mangroves!
