My latest addition is a half black mimic tang about 3". Now, I am not really a great tang fan but this was cheap for a tang, nice and healthy and I quite liked it. Add to that its peaceful and one of the smaller of the tangs. I have had it almost 3 weeks now and its lost its initial shyness.
First pic I took while it was in the LFS tank the second I took this evening.

Will try but light have dimmed now till tomorrow so will try then to get a photo or two. He/she is quite shy esp when I point my camera at it. In truth it's grown little in the time I have had it.

No worries. Mine was shy for about 6 months and then it just came out of its shell. Except for a phone to take a pic. Mine is like a rocket when phone comes out lol.

Here is mine in the mix of the other tangs. Have to stand away from tank to snag a pic of it lol. Only way to do get one that is not "Zooomm" and it is out of there lol.

Took about 20 photos on my phone but so difficult as 1/ it won't stay still for a moment. 2/ it darted from cover to cover. 3/ constantly turning. These are the best I got so far.

Thank you, it means a lot. Yes most of my equipment is secondhand but chosen with my plan and budget in mind. Much of the rock and animals transferred from my Reefer 250. Still much to achieve esp with frags growing out, hopefully I will get there with time.
Just came across this. Nice system!
It is always nice to see someone who has a plan. Im up their to at 64 with 30 years in and find that many failures are because people go into this hobby without a plan.

Thank you. Plans can evolve or even change as we go along but the fundamentals stay the same.

Keeps us updated on the new icons. I am looking into them now and debating between them or reef breeders currently for all but my macro tanks.
I had the Atlantic V4 2s 2021 revised models and was going to upgrade them to icon spec but we had a 20% offer come up on new icons. I decided there wasn't that much difference to selling my V4 2s and buying the icons compared with buying the upgraded LED board and electronics.
So far the improvement has been worth it.

Icons are doing well on my tank, no issues, everything just as I would like them, SPS and LPS all looking good. Check out my video on my previous post above this one.

Thought long and hard about buying another Magnifica nem but after a little rearranging of some coral and seeing a lovely one in an LFS I purchased one. The previous one managed to find one of my MP40s. I have taken steps to prevent that happening again.

The colour is a little rarer than we often see here in the UK. Most we see are a cream or beige colour with yellow tips to the tentacles.

The mag settled well and has hardly moved since I put it in on Sunday. My 2 common clowns ignored it for the rest of the day but by the following morning both had left their previous bubble tip nem and set up home in it.

So far so good and fingers crossed it stays in the same spot.

Love your tank...beautiful! Following along. I didn't see your yellow tang in the last couple videos. Do you still have her?

Thanks, When my last mag found my MP40 I lost it with a number of my other fish unfortunately. Hence my hesitancy to buy another magnifica. I have a nem.guard on my MP40 now.
