Im looking into getting an auto feeder as my work schedule is about to be all over the place and looking for recommendations on brands and types. Mostly used for flakes and pellets.
Also I do not have a controller so it can't be dependent on that.
Thanks in advance!!

I use the Eheim Everyday autofeeder and a feeding tube so the food isn’t simply swept away into the overflow. Suoer easy time use and setup. Doesn’t need a controller.

Eheim plus a feeding ring/tube is a very good option and what I use with no issues. I have a newer Apex and would not even consider switching from the Eheim to the Apex feeder at this time...

I've been using an Eheim in my tank, but my diamond goby jumped out through the feeding tube. So I glued some egg crate on the inside of the feeding tube. No escapes since then.

Please inform me ... what does the feeding tube / ring SDK mentioned look like?

+1 for the Eheim Everyday autofeeder. I've tested a bunch and while none of them are perfect, Eheim is the most reliable of the bunch.
