I decided to make a screen for the top of the my 180 gallon tank so I can get a fairy wrasse and/or firefish without worrying about them jumping out. I had to add a section to allow me to feed them manually but didn't know what to do for the autofeeder loaded with flake and pellet food. I got a little carried away but it turned out great. Below are pics and a video.

How much did that cost?
All in it was around $100 or so. The most expensive part was the little actuator which was $70. I had all of the plastic parts laying around but had to also buy a DPDT relay and some inexpensive 12 dc power supplies

The market for something like this is pretty niche and I have not much desire to spend the money on a patent nor on trying to make if for others. That being said, if anyone has interest I would be happy to share the design and the parts list for it - enough to make your own. The most challenging part is the acrylic work but once you start playing with acrylic its pretty easy and, with some simple tools/fixtures you can create almost anything.
