Setting up the tank today, unfortunately found the lid does not sit flush... or even come close. =.=

Andddd water has cleared. ^_^

On the flip side of the coin, I am never buying anything from Fiji Cube again. My magnet cleaner scratched the tank significantly, which it never did - not even with cheapo tanks. So... wow, great job, Fiji Cube. How did you make your glass such low quality?

Plastic for the lid is also full of scratches. The mesh is not even properly done. Not a big deal per se, but gosh it is like $70.

Seriously. =_=

And the cycling process began! Dosed 4ppm ammonia this afternoon, checked again about six hours later and still the same. Just dosed FritzZyme TurboStart 900, let's see how things change. :3

Quick update. It's been 12 hours or so since I dosed Fritz. Seems to be moving along nicely. :D

Cycle is continuing to progress nicely. A lot of nitrite produced still. Ammonia decreased. I also measured nitrate just for the fun of it, even yes obviously the presence of nitrite makes the nitrate reading kind of pointless.

My impatient self is chiding me lol for starting with 4ppm ammonia rather than 2ppm. Want things to go faster.

Quick update: added two quarts of MarinePure to the sump. :3

Ammonia had hit zero, expectedly.

Fish and corals ordered. :D

Cuc will probably be ordered in a month or so.

Poured brine shrimp eggs into the tank so they'll hatch and I have some baby brine shrimps to welcome my stocking.

But also doubled up to show me how the flow is like in the tank. Cool. :3

Tank is now stocked. Two tiny clowns, a bunch of corals and three rock flower anemones. Clowns were a bit pale when they came and were breathing heavily. Hopefully it's just the journey causing them stress and they'll be alright.

Also dosed with Arc Reef Coralline Algae. Turned off filter for a bit to let it 'settle' on the rocks and stuff, no idea if that'd actually make a difference. XD

The Innovative Marine MicroMag Magnetic Nano Glass Cleaner: https://www.innovative-marine.com/shop/MicroMag™-Magnetic-Nano-Glass-Cleaner-p184826787

At this point I am blaming the build of Fiji, because this same glass cleaner I used for cheapo plastic tanks and it does not even scratch then.

Gosh I just love the RFAs. They look so nice.

On an unrelated note, one clown is already trying to establish dominance over the other lol. Even though they are tiny.

Update: everything is looking great! Anemones are open and happy, same as corals. Well except the zoa, they don't seem too happy.

Also added cuc today. Some of them turned out to be rather ugly so I have relegated them to the sump lol.

On a related note, one hermit crab had immediately eaten another. Rip.

Glad to see diatoms forming. Hoping for more variety of algae growing so the cuc don't starve.
