So I guess my mushroom had a baby and it is sliding off the plug the mother is on. I'm kind of worried it's going to detach and just float away. Any tips on how to keep this little guy alive and well?

If the mother is happy than it should be suitable for the baby. You can slide a piece of ruble next to the baby and see if it attaches to that. Than you can move.
If you change the environment to make the baby happy you may make mother upset.

Your concern is real. I’ve had at least 7 baby jawbreakers detach from mothers plug and float away to never be seen again. I don’t have room for a mushroom rubble container but if you do that’s the way to go.

I use one of these to contain stuff I do not want floating around in the tank...like mushrooms.

I wasn't planning on changing the environment for anything. Just trying to figure out how to keep the baby from floating away into the sump or something.

What would you use for a rubble container if you had room? I'm sure I can find a spot for something small.

Try sliding rouble around the baby. It will slide over and attach to some of the rubble.
