I’ve honestly just started building ugly egg crate boxes around the intakes I paint then black eventually coralline grows on them also put them over power heads too

So far this is the first Nem to start showing signs of zoo re-colonization it definitely was the one that came in the healthiest I’m sure the others are soon to follow

Did you do a zoo transplant or is it naturally re-colonizing ?

Natural recolonization if you can kind of see in the pic the other nems they still have colored bases and they’re mouths are brown so they’re not like fully bleached so to speak so they will usually color up nice on their own. But one that’s more severe let’s say one that has a white /clear base and tents they might need a little help to get that colony of zoos started again. It mostly just has to do with your parameters auto top offs and auto dosers are a must if you want to recolonize zoos in anything they need a super super stable environment also a bit higher nitrates and phosphates seem to help as well.

I have moved all the magnifica into a different tank to hopefully have them recolonize faster. My reasoning is the tank is a bit older and more established then the tank they were in I’m hoping the older environment will have more free floating zoos from the healthy mags I have in there
