Some updates on current fts. The tank is reaching 3 years. After 2 crashed, its finally where its supposed to be. Enjoy

A very good-looking system, you should be proud.

Because of a sickness, MY 3 month 55 gallon tank crashed. With a couple tips from Brendon to restructure, tests today showed 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites, 5ppm on nitrate. YEA!

Clearly an amazing accomplishment with tremendous success and better than I have ever achieved. I am curious as to why you don't remove the frag plugs for a more natural look? Is the thought that the growth will hide the plugs over time or is it more about the ability to be able to move the frags around until you find the best location for the coral?

Thank you, there are a few reason i have them on discs. Its easier for me to remove them for fragging and move them around the tank. And once the disc is fully encrusted, i continue to put it on a bigger frag disc for further growth. I learned that my acros has more growth area on surface area and on braches rather than them on the rocks(also avoid chemical warfare). Another main reason is for pest intervention. Incase for whatever reason unwanted pests on a coral, i can easily removed from the tank, discard the disc and cut the infected area. Easier to treated on a disc outside than on the rocks inside the tank. There are other reason why i have them on disc but the main one as i stated above. Hope that explains things a bit
