No there was no sand in my last tank. The issue was too many colony in the 90g tub without filtration or carbon.

Curious where you get those rocks. Its getting harder to find them

I used real reef branch, I hate the purple but the shapes are nice so just crush up some Marco rocks use some super glue and Walla

That looks nice, and yes you can always make it work like how you did yours. I dont like the manmade one. Too purple and its kinda weird flat shape not to mention how expensive they are

I dont know my parameter other than my alk @ 7 and my calcium @ 400-420. I never tested anything else because i dont feel its necessary. Oh and my temp fluctuate between 78-80F.
