MB7 will work or you can start feeding tank extra few days prior to delivery.
Beneficial bacteria lives in same ratio as ammonia being produced. So by feeding extra a few days prior you are increasing ammonia production, This is trigger the bacteria to grow and in 15-18 hrs, colony will double in size.
After the fish are introduced it will adjust accordingly.
Excellent point, I didn't think of this! Sounds like a great plan and will save me $20.

When setting up this tank, I did add 2 bottles of MB7 (not at once) to the tank, so at least it does have all or some of those strains of bacteria already in the tank...

as long as ammonia rose and went down to 0 and you are seeing nitrates tank is cycled.
